యాత్ర తరువాత...

కైలాస మానస సరోవరం యాత్ర -- తలుచుకున్న ప్రతీసారీ ఒక దివ్య అనుభూతిని అందించే పరమ పావన యాత్ర.

ఈ యాత్ర కోసం మొదటి సారి జనవరి 19, 2015 న మాట్లాడుకున్నాం.  ఆ రోజు నుంచి ఆగష్టు 29 వరకూ కొన్ని వందల సార్లు మాట్లాడుకుంటూనే ఉన్నాం.   ఒక సారి టిబెట్ లో అంతగా అనుకూలంగా లేని వాతావరణం వల్ల,  ఒక సారి నేపాల్ లో భూకంపం వల్ల, ఇంకొకసారి వీసా దొరక్క, తరువాత ఆఫీసు పనుల వల్ల.. అనేక మలుపులు తిరుగుతూ వచ్చింది.  ఒక రోజు యాత్ర జరుగుతుందనే ఆనందం, మరుసటి రోజు జరగదేమో అని అనుమానం, ఇంకొక రోజు ఎందుకు ఇలా జరుగుతోందని బాధ, వేరొక రోజు ఎలాగైనా ఆయనే చూసుకుంటాడులే అని ధైర్యం.

ఎన్నో పరీక్షలు, ఇంకెన్నో అవరోధాలు, చాలా మలుపులు, అలుపు లేని నిరీక్షణలు మధ్య చివరకి ముక్కంటి ఇంటికి వెళ్లి వచ్చాం.   అయితే, ఈ క్రమం లో చాలా మొక్కులు మొక్కుకున్నాం.  రెండు సార్లు flight tickets cancel చేసుకోవాల్సి వచ్చింది, అంతగా మమ్ము పరీక్షించిన స్వామి కరుణ కోసం, ఎన్నో దేవాలయ్యాలో, అర్జీ పెట్టుకున్నాము.  ఇది మొక్కులు ఒక్కొక్కటి గా తీర్చుకురావాల్సిన సమయం.

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day9 (7th Sep)

Another long awaited day has come to visit the most sacred place of Kathmandu, Pasupathinath temple.  I was ready by 7AM and went to the temple by 8AM in a cab.  Wow, what a darshan !!! Lord Shiva ling is with 5 faces (pancha mukha) and each face denotes one direction (east, west, north, south, up).

The original Siva linga here is considered to be half body of lord Siva in the form of bull (the face part).  The tail part is in Kedarnath.   However, original Siva Linga of Pasupathinath, is buried in the earth. The Siva Linga that we see with naked eye is a pratista, not swayambhoo.

In the evening, we went to another extraordinary place called, Jal Narayan temple.  Another miracle of Lord Vishnu with a very big swayambhoo Vishnu idol that is always in water.  An idol that you cannot take your eyes off, an idol that you want to go visit again and again !!!

After dinner, I prepared for my return travel from Kathmandu->Delhi->Hyderabad->Visakhapatnam.  The water that I brought in a can from Manasa Sarovar, had to be packed carefully with glue, m-seal and tape etc.

That way, the great Kailash Manasa Sarovar yatra comes to an end with lots of memories and blessings of Lord Siva.

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day8 (6th Sep)

From Hilsa, after a long wait of 4 hours, we got back to Simikot.  Here we got the next chartered flight to Nepalganj.  It was around 1PM and I had my bath, hurray :-).

We had a decent lunch after a long time and started back to airport.  There was some confusion and my name was not there in the list of tickets booked.  I had to call the travel agent and settle the issue.   Luckily,  there are more seats available in the aircraft and hence, they were able to book the ticket for me.  At 4PM, flight took off to reach the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu.

The stay and dinner at Kathmandu were awesome in that 5-star hotel accommodation.

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day7 (5th Sep)

The last day of parikrama, welcomed us with an early morning sweet news that there was an ambulance coming to pick us up for the remaining distance.  Relieved by a great extent, we got up quickly and jumped into the jeep.  It was 15 minutes drive before we reached Darshan.  Few people took horses and few walked.

From here, we went back to Taklakot by lunch time. Of course,  I could not eat anything except for few fruit pieces.  It was around 4pm before Chinese security checks were completed, by when we started back to Hilsa, the Nepal village at the border.

Few of the group members went in the 3-4 helicopter trips that were remaining for the day.  Few of us had to stay back at Hilsa for that night.  Don't ask me about the food and fever please.  Oh, did I ever tell you that I had my bath last time at Manasa Sarovar on 2nd Sep and awaiting since then ?

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day6 (4th Sep)

With the pre-decided plan of taking a horse ride, journey was smooth for a while, until we realized that we were ditched and charged 1500 Y where the original price was 600. 

After riding us up to the top of a mountain, we were asked to get down and go on our own.  It was not easy at all.  Believe me,  I thought climbing down would be easy and I proved myself wrong.

After 3-3.5hrs of struggle, I managed to reach the place where there was some shelter.  From there, another horse ride took me to the hotel where we stayed that night.  Once again, no breakfast, no lunch, no dinner, with full of fever - day comes to an end.

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day5 (3rd Sep)

The day has come to start our 2.5 days of Kailash parikrama. From Hotel, we went to Darshan, the place where parikrama starts.  There is a small temple structure called "Yamadwar" from where we started our parikrama.  Fever continued and so was my weakness.

Some of us soon realized that this is going to be very tough for next two days.  Each of us were given a pack of lunch which was another disaster.  There were couple of shelters on the way of Day1 parikrama.   With the blessings of lord Siva, somehow, I managed to complete day1 distance by walk.  I decided to take horse the next day since my fever and weakness were on the uptick.  Another Holy day in the trip comes to an end.

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day4 (2nd Sep)

I could not sleep well and woke up in the morning with high temperature.  There were a Doctors' couple in the group and took some medicine after consulting them.

We started from Taklakot after taking a very pathetic breakfast, to Manasa Sarovar.  By the time we reached temperature got under control and was able to take the holy dip.

It was an awesome feeling to take bath in that holly lake.  Water was crystal clear with a nice view of Mount Kailash at a distance.

We moved to another hotel near by where even basic amenities were also missing.  Fever returned back by night and medicine continued.  Another day with great feeling and no food came to an end.

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day3 (1st Sep)

After a great sleep and a great breakfast, we went to Simikot airport (is it airport or auto-stand?).  Somehow Helicopter got repaired and we flew down to Hilsa, a border village of Nepal where we saw our passports for the first time after sending them to travel agent in March.

From here, we were supposed to go to Taklakot, a village in China at around 1pm.  But, there were 5-6 luggage bags were misplaced and we had to wait in the China bus for more than 2 hrs for them to come back in helicopter.

At last, we reached Taklakot at 5:30 pm IST and got the room by 7pm.  Another day without lunch comes to an end here.  Excited for tomorrow's travel to Manasa Sarovar.

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day2 (31st Aug)

We were asked to start at 5:30 AM to Nepalganj airport.  We waited in that bus-stand-like airport till at 8AM and then got the 12-seater aeroplane to "Simikot".

From here we waited for helicopter to go to "Hisla".  My friends went at 11AM, but there was no place for me.  So, waiting continued for next trip at 1PM with few more piligrims.  Pilot stopped the helicopter to have his lunch.  After his lunch at 1:30, helicopter did not start because of some engine problem.  We waited till 3PM and it couldn't be repaired.  So, there was no other way except to stay back in a hotel in this village of 200-houses.

To our surprise, this is an excellent hotel with very nice staff and a great cook.  Both dinner and tea were really good.

Kailash Manasa Sarovar - Day1 (30th Aug)

From Lucknow, we were supposed to start at 9AM.  Car was late and we started at 11AM. All the time we were waiting and did not have breakfast. It was a very hot day and we were in a car with A/C not working.  It was a pathetic journey on a much worse road.  It took almost 8 hours by the time we reached Nepalganj at 7PM.

Hotel was very good and dinner was just awesome.  We were asked to split our luggage into two, one bag to carry till Kailsh (max 12kg) and other to keep at the hotel.

కైలాసం - మానససరోవరం

సాక్షాత్తు పరమశివుని నివాసం కైలాసం. బ్రహ్మదేవుడు మనస్సంకల్పంతో సృష్టించిన మహాద్భుత సరస్సు మానససరోవరం. భూమండలానికి నాభిస్థానంలో ఉన్నట్లు భావించే కైలాసపర్వతం హిందువులకే కాక, బౌద్ధులకు, జైనులకు, టిబెట్ లో ప్రాచీనమైన 'బొంపో' మతానుయాయులకు కూడా ఇది అతిపవిత్రం, ఆరాధ్యం. మామూలు కళ్ళకు ఇది మట్టిగా కనిపిస్తుంది. కానీ యోగదృష్టితో చూసినవారికి దివ్యశక్తే ఇక్కడ పృథివీ రూపం ధరించిందని తెలుస్తుంది. పరమశివుడు పురుషుడు, పరమేశ్వరి ప్రకృతి అతడు శివుడు, ఆమె శక్తి. ఆ శివశక్తుల భవ్యలీలాక్షేత్రం కైలాసమానససరోవరం. రజకాంతులతో వెలిగిపోయే కైలాస శిఖరం సచ్చిదానందానికి నెలవు. లలితాదేవి కాలి అందెల రవళులలో ఓంకారం, నటరాజు తాండవంలో ఆత్మసారం ధ్వనిస్తుంది.

కల్పవృక్షం ఇక్కడే ఉంటుందని కుబేరుడి నివాసం కూడా ఇక్కడే అని విష్ణుపాదోద్భవ గంగ కైలాసశిఖిరికి చేరి దానిని ప్రదక్షించి అక్కడి నుంచి నాలుగు నదులుగా మారి ప్రవహిస్తుంది. బ్రహ్మపుత్ర, సింధు, సట్లెజ్, కర్మలి నదుల పుట్టుక ఇక్కడే. మానససరోవరంలో మునిగి కైలాసపరిక్రమ చేసినవారికి జన్మరాహిత్యమే అంటారు. శివునిలో లీనమై తామే శివస్వరూపులైపోతారని చెబుతారు. కల్పవృక్షం ఇక్కడే, గంగ భూమిని చేరింది ఇక్కడే ఇటువంటి కైలాస మానస సరోవరం దర్శనం అనేక జన్మల పుణ్యం.
